BRASS TACKS, hailing from Macon, GA, creates an intense and heavy, rock sound spiked with blues and soul, anchored by originality and strong musicianship. This high wattage trio is comprised of Landry Beddingfield-guitar and vocals; Oscar Varner-drums and vocals; and Brian Coplin-bass.

In the summer of 2001, with their instruments in hand, Landry and Brian returned to their hometown of Macon after being immersed in the genuine music scene of Athens, GA for the previous 2 years. They immediately crossed paths with Oscar, who has been playing drums and singing within his father's church since his feet could reach the drum pedals. Jamming as a band for the first time at this church, indoctrinated with synergy, resulted in their revelation that Brass Tacks was meant to be!

Landry's strong Hendrix influences combined with Oscar's pure and soulful vocals are ignited by Brian's eclectic foundation on bass coupled with Oscar's innate ability displayed on drums. Audiences of all possible ages have drawn comparisons from nearly every decade rock has existed. Band of Gypsy's, Robin Trower, Living Colour, Alice n Chains, Radiohead, and Soundgarden are a few of the attempts made at labeling this sonic power trio. Brass Tacks blazes through riffs with an intensity to be reckoned with. Playing bars and clubs consistently throughout the Southeast for 2 years honed their craft and creativity, and led them to Los Angeles in May of 2003. Their first official full length CD comprised of 14 mastered tracks has just been released. BRASS TACKS IS MOMENTUM ROCK - unique to any music heard across America and beyond.
