Laura Sailer, a rhythm guitarist/vocalist from Toledo, OH, began performing as a professional musician in February 2003. Laura recorded her first demo, It's Always Somethin', at Brownwood Studios in Gibsonburg, OH that same year, which she submitted to record companies. Laura began playing her own gigs in 2004. Additionally, she continued writing songs and produced another demo, China Doll. Later, Laura participated in Tower 98's Karaoke Idol contest. Fox 36 Toledo News also did a piece on Laura's accomplishments as a musician for their weekly segment Toledo Idol. She was well-received by the public, and by the beginning of 2005 had booked her own performances at Toledo venues like Rick's Coffeehouse, Shawn's Irish Tavern, Brewed Awakenings, and more. Later in 2005, Laura began collaborating with other musicians to form the band The Glue Factory and produce a full-length album to shop to major labels. She also participated in the XMG Showcase in Cleveland on August 26th, 2005, and participated in the American Idol auditions in Chicago. The Glue Factory performed a Hurricane Benefit for the Red Cross at Rick's Coffeehouse in Toledo and other shows at The Annex in Hillsdale, Michigan. The band separated in the beginning of 2006. In 2007, she finished her third album, Between Dreams and Sleep, available now at her performances and Allied Record Exchange, CD Warehouse, and Freon Beats in Toledo, as well as online at www.cdbaby.com/sailer.
