Shin Somber as a whole has been together for about a year. Cory, Kevin, and Landon have been playing music together in various bands since they were kids. They are originally from Ft. Wayne, IN and moved to Indianapolis, IN a little over 2 years ago in search of a new vocalist. After almost a year of auditions and refusing to settle they came across Matt. Their styles fit perfectly. THis album was recorded a year before matt entered the band. He wrote for all of the songs as they practiced together then recorded them. It was entirely self produced and recorded. While trying to release "Honor among thieves" the bass player quite. Out of a practice space and broke with no bass player Matt ran into Louis, one of his old friends from high school, at a peeping tom show. They exchanged numbers, Louis tried out and there was no looking back. It was again a perfect match. Everyone has given their time and life to music and now to this band. They are currently writing the next album collectively which should be released in ealy summer. Influences range from Deftones to Mr. Bungle, Bjork and Glassjaw, from metal to funk and everything inbetween. Their music is founded on a collective feeling or vibe and every song is equally composed by each member of the band. ENJOY!!!
