This short album is the second in a series of short albums for acoustic guitar, cello and voice only. The first in the series, Light Plays On A Pearl, was recorded without any effects other than compression. The Twin or The Seed expands on this format slightly by utilizing reverb. The goal of this series is to rely more on melodic lines than sounds and effects. The hope is that by imposing limitations on the instrumentation, a certain creativity will be facilitated. Also, while making collaborative music in a band is greatly rewarding, there is also a time for completely controlling everything individually, therefore I played and produced all the sounds you will hear.

The name of the short album is actually two names. The Twin was the original title because I felt that the album, particularly the track âWhen I Hear The Messageâ, was a conflict between two very close people, or even two aspects of the same person. As the album took shape, I could see that the central theme of the songs was one of saying goodbye. The Seed is hope. Sometimes it feels so tiny, but MY hope is that within it lies unfathomable possibility
