The USL are sweaty, swaggering rock & roll drenched in the sounds of bluesy soul, a band that never goes below eleven. At times, the trio's self-titled ep draws from the forefathers of northwest rock: the crashing beat of the Kingsmen, the beastly wail of the Sonics and the hard-edged hooks of Nirvana. Fans who like their love songs loud and their pants made of leather have no problem entering the world of the Urban Sex Legends.

The story of Urban Sex Legends follows Nick Green and Brady Roark, two kindergarten cohorts who would ultimately disappoint their parents by choosing a life of cheap booze, two-fisted women and loud rock & roll.

This sonic fate was foreshadowed in their formative years as the two traded mix tapes filled with the garage, doo-wop, bubblegum, soul, salsa, nwobhm, skate punk and polka influences which would forever alter their brain chemistry. As teenagers, the two broke into the local club scene, serving as the rhythm section for a 30 year old D.A.R.E. officer with a repitoire of open-mic-approved classic rock staples. Two years and 20 Free Birds later, the group dissolved, though not before briefly adopting the name "Urban Sex Legends", a moniker ill-suited to a guitar-strumming crime-stopper.

A decade later, Urban Sex Legends proved the only description befitting the raucous raunch Green and Roark began thrusting upon the city of Portland, Oregon. With the addition of fresh-faced four-stringer Peter Benzinger, USL are a power trio Cream, Motorhead and the Police can be proud of.
