Venitia has been steadily winning over audiences around the midwest with her straigt forward and passionate lyrics that express love, urgency and the importance of justice in the world.
"Music has always been a part of my life as well as the need to express it. Actually, I think I may have sung my first word instead of spoken it."
After performing for a number of years around the region, in 2005 she made the decision to quit her day job and persue a music career full time. Since then, she released her first album "Lucky Numbers" with great success. It was voted one of the top 30 albums by WVPE radio, and has aired states around the US & Canada. She was a featured artist on the Michiana musician compilation CD "Brand New Day, and recently worked as a studio vocalist for recordings sessions in Nashville, Tennessee. Her highly anticipated 2nd CD entitiled "Hell On High Heels" featuring more of her blues/soul writing style, was released in May 2007
