Formed early 2006 in Dubuque, Iowa - 2-WEST has rapidly risen to the top of the ranks in the local metal scene. Band members (Greg Howell/Lead Vocals) (Mike Vandermillen Jr./Guitar) (Jeff Lehman/Guitar/Vocals) (Adam Cosley/Bass) & (Ron Welp/Drums) rolled out of the garage with 7 original songs and a fresh hard hitting sound that had local metal fans turning their heads.

In just 4 months, it was obvious these five Dubuque area natives had assembled the proper mix of metal ingredients to rise to the top of the heap. 2-WEST stormed on to the music scene at the local âBattle of the Bandsâ armed with just 7 original songs (the first 6 tracks + track 8 on the CD). In just five weeks and firmly seated in first place by an explosive margin, 2-WEST had won over 17 area bands and the hearts of local heavy metal fans.

Over the next several months 2-WEST continued to hone their edge at local venues astonishing crowds and building an unparalleled fan base. By September there were five additional tracks added to the arsenal and it was time for 2-WEST to head into the studio. In a 2 day session at (Minstrel Recording Studio, Iowa City, Ia.) 2-WEST laid down the ten tracks on this self titled debut CD and the vision that was 2-WEST had become a reality.
