He started to play drums at 5 and professionally at 18 ( 1980 ) .

Dado Moroni , Claudio Fasoli , Nicola Orioli , Lorenzo Poli ,
The Freatlones , The Blues Engine , Marco Accattatis ,
Giacomo Giannotti , Massimo Marcolini , Gianni Grondacci ,
Green Production , Franco Fanigliulo .
Drums Masterclasses :
1985 : Jimmy Cobb ( Umbria jazz )
1988 : Billy Cobham ( Firenze jazz )
1990 : Dennis Chambers ( Ravenna jazz )
On september 1991 he moved to London .

He recorded at the Warner Chappell Studios and at the Britannia Row Studios ( with the Roberto Manes Band ) .
On december 2000 he moved back to Italy .
Heâs teaching drums at the AML Pontremoli ( Pontremoli ) and the â Fabrizio de Andreâ school of music " ( La Spezia ) .
He played drums in the musical âCandidoâ ( A.Liberovici ) - from Voltaireâs book âCandideâ ( Genova 2004 ). Francesco is now playing drums with the Four Step Choir , the Gloria Clemente Theatre Laboratory , Blues Groovers , Blue Bar and Statale 62 ( blues ) , Ilaria Biagini Quartet ( jazz/vocal ) , Groove Quarter ( jazz/groove ) , Alan Gillian's Jazz Trio , and occasionally performs with Tiziano Murena and Nicola Orioli .
Nowadays Francesco is playing with :
Jacopo Bettinotti ( live band )performing Jacopo's latests album " Seduto ai piedi del mio cielo " .
Pier Michelatti ( Faber per sempre ) - tribute band to Fabrizio de Andre'
