Whether performing solo or with his world class band, Rob's performances have delighted listeners at venues such as: The Washington State Apple Blossom Festival, Coupeville Arts and Crafts Festival, Blackberry Festival in Bremerton, Sequim Lavender Festival, Toast of the Harbor, Eola Hills Winery and many more. In fact, Budapest West is already booked at many of these venues for the third year in a row. Add to this several successful trips to Northern Ohio (where it all began) and it's clear that this is a project on the move.
At the heart of Budapest West is the highly charged, innovative, and mesmerizing quality of Rob Rigoni's guitar playing. Outside of Budapest West, Rob's work as a session player can be heard on many artists' recordings and commercial releases. He has recorded for such projects as: Suzy Cornell, Lean & Fit, Washington State Lottery and many more. Rob has even performed and recorded with members of such groups as: Supertramp, Heart, Count Basie, and Visible Targets.
Clearly in a class of it's own, Budapest West is the musical vision of Rob Rigoni. Budapest West effortlessly combines elements of rock, jazz, and exotica into a sound all his own. Add Rob's whiskey soaked, southern rock vocals to the mix, and you've got a party just waiting to happen. If all of this were not enough, Rob is also in the habit of putting a new spin some of his favorite cover tunes.
