Meleyan was born in champaign Urbana to the proud parents of Sherry from Arkansas and George from Illinois. By the tender age of 1 my father was tragically killed in an accident,leaving my mother to raise a son on her own. later I would be blessed to have a little sister by the name of Tiffany. To this day my mothers last memories of my father and I together was watching him pick me up and holding me into the air and shouting,"A star is born!" In the early 80's my mother packed up our belongings and moved us to Chicago, Illionois. Growing up we never lived in one place for too long,which also meant I was always changing schools. Even though she was a single working mom it was a struggle for her to raise a son, but she tried to make sure that I never went without. Being in and out the Chicago's school system I was able to take advantage of the many talent shows and contest that the schools held. It just seemed so natural to rap in front of these large audiences. Soon after that I was being quickly recognized by family and friends for my talent at a young age. From that point on I knew that becoming a rap artist was my dream and destiny. I would later go on to complete my G.E.D. and I would also win a scholarship to go to college. I did complete some college courses but deep down I knew that college was not for me and that if I wanted to pursue anything in life than it had to be rap so I decided not to return to college that following year. Say it, Meleyan (mill-ee-on). Remember that name because it will soon be a household name. Meleyan is a rough street savvy wordsmith with a golden voice. Meleyan is from the same mold as Tupac, but with my own distinct flavor. People will tell you that my style of rap is different from other artist that you might hear today. I bring versatility, delivery, uniqueness, and energy like none other. With a never ending archive of rymes and material, Meleyan aka The Don will be around for many years to come.
