"ESITU: Live at Studio Seven" is a DVD/CD 2-disc set. It contains a DVD of a full live performance (captured with four cameras and professionally recorded audio) with interviews between songs, and five special features (Live in the Dark, Live on the Air, The Well-Oiled Machine, In the Studio and On the Road). The CD portion (which you can preview now) is 10 tracks featuring the show in its entirety with the same professional audio quality as the video. These tracks are old and new - featuring two songs from the debut album "Psychometry", all three songs from "The Last Three EP" and four new songs that will be featured in upcoming ESITU releases. Read on for more general information on ESITU. ESITU formed in 2002 for the sole purpose of making moving and thought provoking music that could kick your ass at the same time. And they've made great strides in accomplishing their goals. Through tireless promotions, ESITU has made their name known. And through the intensity of their stage shows they've made their presence felt. ESITU's influences range from Tool to The Cure, from The Misfits to Rush, from Mastodon to The Tea Party. The sound produced by these influences and passions combines to form a rich, flowing collection of hard progressive rock music. In 2002 they released their first EP, self-titled, to a debut show of nearly 200 people. In 2004, they dropped their first full length album Psychometry to a mass of 800 people. In early 2006, they put out yet another EP entitled The Last Three to a nearly sold-out crowd at The Showbox, one of Seattle's most prestigious live venues. In the fall of 2006, ESITU: Live at Studio Seven, a live DVD/CD double-disc set was received by fans as an amazing experience of the band's music, methods, and personalities. And 2007 has still more releases and dynamic shows in store from ESITU. This band is making its presence felt not just in Seattle, but up and down the west coast as well. With shows branching farther and farther out from Seattle, ESITU's name is becoming widely known. The five members of ESITU persevere to make music listeners know that local scenes breed the best music. They work hard to give their fans a show for the eyes and the ears.
