Singer-songwriter Jessica Mondello has an old soul as well as youthful beauty. In fact, she describes her musical style as "Charcoal Soul." Dark and dusky or light and and lilting, she makes the emotional connection that is the mark of a true arist.

Jessica can turn a phrase as well as turn heads. She writes about simple things-life and love, home and hope. The subjects may be simple, but they are elegantly expressed.

Born in Toronto, she was immersed in music from the beginning. Her mother Sandi was a fixture in the local musical scene. A move to the States led to the formation of MotherSoul, one of the hottest bands in Raleigh, NC, with Jessica, Sandi and sister Marqui providing dazzling vocals.

Jessica also pursued a successful solo career in and around Raleigh that included opening for well-known acts like Marshall Crenshaw and Little Feat. She shared the stage with groups like Josh Pepper Project and Bill West and was the featured act at Michael Jordan's Celebrity Golf Classic.

Her performances caught the eye of John Custer, Grammy-nominated producer of acts like Corrosion of Conformity, Cry of Love and DAG. Custer produced and recorded her first CD, the critically acclaimed Sacred that features her original hit "The Brave," a heartfelt tribute to 9-11.

Over the years, Jessica has garnered a loyal and enthusiastic fan base in New York City, Miami, Toronto, Washington DC, and numerous other locales across North America.

She's even enjoyed an international following, thanks to a breath-taking performance at the Bedburg Music Festival, for which she received a rave review in the Kolner Stadt-Anzeiger, the biggest newspaper in Cologne, Germany.

With thirteen years of experience in music, she's found her way back to her hometown in Toronto.
