As long as I can remember I have had a love for music. I can remember being in grade school and lying in bed at night listening to music on the radio. When I was thirteen years old, I started to play guitar. Shortly after that, I started teaching myself to play piano at the same time. My biggest influences at the the time were Elton John, Peter Frampton, Paul McCartney, James Taylor, and Dan Fogelburg. Today that list has grown to include: Lyle Lovett, Counting Crows, Cold Play, and many others.

Acoustic guitar and piano were always my favorite instruments to play but I started playing electric guitar in bands in my mid teens. After several high school bands I went on to play with a country rock band in Southern Colorado called Southern Comfort. I had a lot of fun years playing with that band but finally decided it wasn't what I wanted to be doing musically. I have always been intrigued with the singer/songwriter and knew that was what I wanted to do. After leaving Southern Comfort in the late 80's, I dropped out of the music scene for several years. During those years I realized that being a solo acoustic performer was what I really wanted to do. I began to write my own songs and taught myself the art of recording.

Even though it would be nice, I no longer have dreams of making the "big time." I am happy playing small venues as well as record and produce my own music. I hope you enjoy listening!
