About RAZA:

Raza is a well-renowned singer, songwriter, composer and producer. A multi talented young man with energetic music. Raza has become one of the most popular and sought after pop artists to come out of Karachi, Pakistan.

Razaâs debut album, the tentatively titled âAre you ready?â is Razaâs first English album and one of the most highly anticipated of the year. Following the success of his previous Hindi albums, Raza describes this album as pop with a Melodious and funky flavor. The lyrics mirror many of the issues that have become his signature including love, war, nature and mankind.

As a boy, Raza became mesmerized by a medley of US artists from The Bee Gees and The Carpenters to Michael Jackson and Elvis. At the age of 13, Raza kick started his music career along with an equally talented brother. It wasnât long before Raza was penning catchy lyrics, gleaming his vocals and creating intricate arrangements of melodies on his keyboard.

In 1988, Razaâs dreams of forming a popular band became of reality when his group âThe Lasersâ, landed top billing at prestigious hotels including Karachiâs Taj Mahal. It wasnât long before the music industry took notice and The Lasers were offered a record deal. They went on to release three hit albums, reaching the top of the charts fast and furiously. With the release of âTera Dopatta Peelaâ, a sensation swept across Pakistan and India as the album sold millions of copies and bringing The Lasers to the forefront of the music scene.

Razaâs recent appearances in popular magazines include MAG and The News, TV guest spots on License Show, Music Challenge, Hit Parade and Live performances in Eastern European Music Convention (St. Petersburg, Russia), New York International Music Festival (Las Vegas Feb 2006) and at the Cutting Room Manhattan NY (May 2006).

About the CD "ARE YOU READY?"
Are you ready is Razaâs first release as a solo artist. Many of Razaâs songs are inspired by his personal life experiences however, some of the songs are fictitious inspired by his vivid imagination and fun loving spirit. He also has added some world percussions and sounds; like table, sitar and tambura to make his music richly invigorating.
