Guitarist, Composer, Painter. Rusty is as capable of playing Jazz & blues as he is picking up pen and paper and charting a string section.
His diverse musical roots come from playing guitar in Folk, Rock and R&B groups. Namely Allanah Myles, The Cameo Blues Band, and later as musical director of numerous Toronto Events has backed up The Blues Brothers, Tom Cochran, Holly Cole, Rebecca Jenkins, Barenaked Ladies, Bruce Cockburn, Molly Johnson. And more importantly a long time musical partner with Canadaâs wonderful and eccentric Mary Margaret O'Hara (M2OH), heâs been her guitarist, arranging her songs and engineering her projects. In recent years he has appeared with Mary Margaret OâHara in London, England, New York City and in L.A. alongside many famous artists as part of The Harry Smith Project (Smithsonian Folk Archives)

Television Appearances, N.B.C.âs NIGHT MUSIC, BBC âTop of the Popsâ , MUCH MUSIC (live @Massey Hall) with Blue Rodeo. also Check out Mary Margaret O'Hara on utube.

Scores Rusty has written and produced numerous soundtracks for film & Modern Dance. The most recent being an Alliance Atlantis release on DVD of Apartment Hunting, which has won rave reviews for itâs sound track available @ Rogers video.
Also Director Eric Weinthal's Shakespeare Series. Midsummers Night Dream, Romeo And Juliet, Macbeth , and airing this March on BRAVO 'Othello'.

Currently Rusty lives in Sault Ste. Marie and travels to Toronto once a month to work on projects. The latest project is a Jazz recording with Dennis keldie(B3), Bobby Brough( tenor sax) and Mike Sloski (drums) .Also he is just now releasing his 1st Solo album DIRTY RIVER, and is fast working on his 2nd album.
Also released this fall is âSoocoustic, A rec.room production featuring 17 of the Saults finest singer songwriters
Rusty also plays with the Northern Jazz Ensemble.
