Rusty Project is Lucas Lemke (vocals and bass), Enrico Fontana (guitar) and Elton Sobrinho (drums) and was born in the beginning of 2001, intending to write Alternative-rock / new metal songs gathering the power-trios' diverse influences, mainly from the "bay area" and Seattle. Some people describe the songs as "light" new-metal, but Rusty Project always seeks for different harmonies throughout the whole song, no matter if it's a heavy section or not. The band's second demo, "project II", was
released on july/2002 and it achieved nice response over the internet, like first place in the genre at the old "mp3.com", and lots of positive reviews from all around the world.

The trio released their 14-song-demo called "project III" on Sept/2004 putting all efforts to improve the recording quality so the essence of the band could actually be perceived. As we listen to RP's last work, it is easy to notice that they've found their true identity, blending heavy riffs, soft acoustic guitars, catchy choruses and well placed back vocals. During these 6 years of existence, the band has performed throughout their home state and others in Brazil.

Rusty Project is currently producing their 3rd album, called "Unite", to be released on sept/07.
