"When we sit down to write, we don't know what will happen-but we know it's going to be real," says singer-lyricist Trish McCabe of L.A.'s Walls Have Ears. The product of an intense partnership with guitarist and co-writer Jeff Harris, Walls Have Ears emerged out of the duo's mutual passion for pop music with substance and integrity.

Melodic and accessible, the tracks on the pair's self-titled debut EP reveal a devotion to the craft of serious songwriting. These gracefully wrought compositions combine McCabe's smoky-soulful voice and Harris' expressive work in diverse ways, demonstrating an impressive musical range while preserving the raw energy that is the essence of Walls Have Ears.

Raised in Orange, California, McCabe credits her love of music to the influence of her jazz/pop drummer father Danny McCabe, who exposed her to every conceivable genre and inspired her to mimic favorite singers almost as soon as she could speak. Harris, a St. Louis area native, played lead guitar in a succession of bands in Missouri and L.A. before answering a magazine ad McCabe had placed looking for collaborators. They haven't looked back since.

Walls Have Ears will be playing local clubs to promote the release of the EP and are seeking management.
