Andy Dimacale started his solo career in 1995 performing covers at a coffeehouse in Vineland, NJ. Compensation was two pounds of coffee of which he kept one and gave the other to his dad. Since then he's performed at many South Jersey venues, at times gigging 4 or 5 nights a week while holding down a fulltime job as a computer analyst. From time to time, his dad, 82, still shows up at his shows.

In 2003 Andy decided to try his hand at writing his own material and found that he had a knack for writing melodically pleasing, insightful songs. Performing solo for so many years had taught Andy how to write songs that stand out with only a voice and guitar. Building a home studio he began arranging and recording all the tracks himself. Occasionally he would have other musicians play on selected tracks.

His first CD, titled "If I Were Me" is a culmination of his 4 year effort which proves that nowadays, an original artist can really do it all himself.
