Bancroft, one of the most promising independent bands in Ohio, delivers hook driven songs, catchy lyrics, and just pure fun in each one of their energetic live performances. Inspired by artists like The Beatles, Weezer, Third Eye Blind, Sublime, and early Radiohead, Bancroft's unique retro-alternative pop flavor has created a buzz that has people everywhere talking.

Made up of members Andy Hutchinson (vocals/guitar), Brett Duffy (guitar/vocals), Dave Nemet (bass/vocals), and Mark Posler (drums), Bancroft is quickly gaining attention everywhere they go.

Released in the summer of 2001, the band's debut CD, "Anywhere But Home," promises something for everyone. Whether the song is about love gained or lost, Bancroft gets the point across with meaningful music that incorporates every emotion from humor to anger. Some of the catchy fan favorites such as "Lying on the Floor," and "I Forgot" have been playing at college radio stations across Ohio.

The band won the Creekside Golf Dome "Battle of the Bands" award, beating out 32 other bands in the spring of 2001, and has been featured at Ohio's largest charity event, Dance Marathon.
