Diana houchen was born and raised in queens, New York. Her poetry speaks volumes to all that hears them. They inspire and enlighten. Her poetry makes a vast impact on everyone who inclines their ears to hear her words. She is truly a dynamic poet in every sense of the word. Her poetry spans from inspirational to secular avenues. Capturing the attention, hearts, and minds of a diverse audience, Diana does what she enjoys most, writing and reciting her poetry.


Diana has several favorite poets. They are Maya Angelou, Lucinda Gail, Collin, Ecizba, David, Darnell, Mikey V. and Alphonso. Her desire to write began at the young age of about 3. However, being at such a young age of 3, shed did not know how to spell and could barely write. But in her own childlike writing, she understood what she wrote. Several times she picked up a pen and attempted to write poems and short stories. When Diana was 5, her family gave her journals to write. As a child, Diana often wondered where her love and desire for writing evolved.


Through the years, Diana came to the realization of why she loved to write. She soon understood and accepted that writing was a divine work for her to do, which would enable her to touch the lives of many through the spoken words of poetry and song.



In addition to writing poetry, she sings and is aspiring to play musical instruments. Her other talents include writing song lyrics,short stories, and sheâs an aspiring playwright and ghostwriter. Diana is currently writing a play, of high encouragement for the men of GOD.

Diana is known by her poetic stage name Epiphany. And she currently has a CD out, entitled âEpiphany Poetic Inspirationsâ. A few tracks from this CD are, âItâs a Love Thangâ,âWhat Nowâ, and âHeld for Ransomâ. Her CD and CD cover design was created by Jerry Teel. The music was arranged by Jerry Teel. Background vocals were done by Lamont Oâ Neil, on âitâs a Love Thangâ and â Why Meâ. Diana is about to embark on a journey that is going to take the world by storm. Sheâs sure to have a great impact on the world.


Diana Gives special recognition to her family for all their unconditional love, constant support, and encouragement throughout her entertainment endeavors. Dianaâs family, being her strongest inspiration,helped shape her into becoming the phenomenal woman she is today. Her desire is to give back to her family for all their love and support. A special thanks to her family, friends, and Mentor, Cliff Jacobs. Diana sends a special shout-out to her friends at the âIâm Poetry groupâ, of whom sheâs come to love as a second family, and has been a member since, November 2005.


Although, Diana has endured many hardships throughout her endeavors, she still remains humble and grateful for all the blessings that God has bestowed upon her. Her inspirational message to everyone is, âNothing is Impossible. If I can do it, then you can too, so never give up on your dreams!â


In the future, Diana hopes to establish, promote, and manage her own recording company. In this endeavor, it is her wish to extend an opportunity for others to share their talents world wide. It is her desire to produce Gospel and Secular singers. She also plans to continue her writing of songs,poetry, and pursue her interest in ghost writing, expressions of her creativity in a positive way
