Born and raised in Riverside, Calif., HILARY WATSON purchased her first guitar from a pawnshop for $100 at the age of eleven. Fortunately for her family, the electronics never worked and she was never able to plug it into an amp. All in all, it worked well enough for her to learn her musical alphabet (C through B for you musicians out there).
Fast forward to the present, where years of dedication to learning her craft and refining her songwriting have led to Hilary's breathtaking debut CD, Passing By, a collection of beautifully honed songs that are as rewarding as anything you'll hear from a young artist this year. Gorgeous melodies, surprising chord changes and harmonic shifts, rich instrumentation, and imaginative poetry intertwine to weave moving stories of faith, hope, disappointment, love, and redemption. Standout tracks include "Ruin Me," "By Faith," and album centerpiece "What Kind Of Love Is This."
