The Hootin' Annies present a dynamic alternative performance. These singer/songwriters produce an ecclectic stage show including, but never limited to folk-rock, country-blues and gospel. The vocal arangements and musical ability are a must see show and offer a welcome addition creating diversity for any folk festival, concert hall and/or club.

The Hootin' Annies release entitled High Falootin' was produced and engineered by Barry Allen of Homestead Recorders in Edmonton.This has garnered a strong local following with generous and responsive independent airplay. The stage show inspired the Full Moon Folk Club to describe The Hootin' Annies as "sassy and irrepressible".

Angela Mackenzie - Drums/Singer/Songwriter
Angie's musical background is in rock and rhythm and blues. Angela has fronted many bands as lead vocalist and guitarist. She is the recipient of the Alberta Recording Industry Award (A.R.I.A.) in 1998 for her work with the band "Hidden Agenda."

Cynthia Horton - Upright Bass/Singer/Songwriter
Cynthia's musical style originated in bluegrass and country music. Cynthia released an independent recording entitled " Queen of Broken Rules" in 2000 with Jamie Kidd producing. Her second solo recording, " Howlin' At The Moon" produced by Tim Williams, to be released in 2006.

Rhonda OâConnell - Acoustic Guitar/Singer/Songwriter
Rhonda's career includes performing roots and blues music. She is the recipient of the Alberta Music Project from CKUA radio 1996. Rhonda released her independent recording in 1994 entitled "Nightsinger."
