From the Texas Panhandle to southeast Oklahoma, Harkrider has been a name associated with many who love music both to dance and listen to. From the roots of western swing to the 60's rock and roll revolution, this debut cd is a tribute to all the musicians that have played with the Harkrider's.
The unfortunate deaths of the Baxter cousins and their mom, to the death's of several of the uncle's that performed many shows with The Harkrider Brothers during the 50's & 60's is the foundation that started what has now become JoJo Ryder.
The original songs recorded shows a wide range of influences from the Beatles, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and ZZ Topp that are also covered nicely with their own versions of remakes from the 60's & 70's. These songs not only make you want to hear more but also make you want to hear more from these guys.
The original songs have a very serious side,The Picture,Run Away, but also lean to the lighter side with Lucky Cowboy and Barbecue. Their Texas roots are very noticable in their lyrics and style of music.
