Details:
Music has been a process for me. My grandmother got me my first guitar at 13. It collected dust for a few years and then I got serious. I took very naturally to classical guitar and focused on that for a time. It comes through in much of my music. As a teen I wanted to be a guitar god with lots of hair. I learned to sing in college in a band I was in. It was a lot of fun but when it came to an end, I became interested in writing my own song without having anyone to answer to about them (aka band members). So I started writing, singing, and playing out. The more I did it the easier it became and the more I was immersed in a community of like-minded creative people who have supported and influenced my own creative outlet.

If there were one word I would hope people would use to describe my music it would be "honest." That is what I strive for. There is a lot of social commentary in my music because we live in a world that I find both fascinating and frustrating. Sometimes my music is very melancholy and sometimes it betrays my unorthodox sense of humor. Often I feel like music chose me to go on some twisted roller coaster of ups and downs, triumphs, sorrows, and barf bags. Care to come along for the ride?
