Nettye's self produced CD 'Not really blue' is real roots music!
Irish folk and pop love meet serendipitously in Nettye's first official release.

In 2003 after being interviewed on local radio and recieving an invitation to meet the dinasoar, I walked into Bent Building and a year and a half later released 'not really blue'. The name of the CD was inspired by the song 'JOY' which I wrote as my ode to music and finally getting a chance to record a CD. We were still in production and I sat down one day picked up my guitar and the song just came to me and I knew exactly how I wanted it to sound and that it had to go on the CD. A celebration and a thank you to the powers that be for giving me the 'JOY' of not being a wanna be anymore...now I was a full fledged artist with a CD that I produced..Right down to all the artwork on the CD. Quite a story of learning the ropes and keeping with a theme that had begun long before 'Joy' arrived. 'Not really blue' refers to the color purple and the gift of being a songwriter...music that I hear from somewhere out there and sometimes I am just amazed when I write a song and can hear the whole song as I write it as if I have some antenna attached to my head... Which is amazing to me. I hope that I stay tuned in to Inspiration forever.
