With talent that flies in the face of convention and a voice that will turn anyone into a believer, Summer Johnson is set to burst onto the scene.

Summerâs love of music started when she first sang from the church pews as a child, growing up in New York. Her energy was infectious and her appetite for more music was insatiable. Before long, she started performing in talent shows and showcases whenever she could, developing her signature sound and style.

Summer became the lead back-up singer for Bad Boyâs Recording artist Carl Thomas at an early age of 16. Soon after that experience, Summer toured internationally, performing background vocals for major music stars Pink, Busta Rhymes, David Banner, No Doubt, and Billal. Seeing the music business from the inside and working with a diverse group of artists, Summer was certain she had found her calling, âI know I could do this. Getting to see the industry from that side was the extra push I needed to get out there and start making music on my own.â

The independent singer has begun to spread her wings. Her debut single, âIâm Hot â from her forth-coming full-length release is already getting significant airplay at the street level and on national radio. Currently, there are three mixes of the song available: the up-tempo âSupa Switchâ, Main Mixâ and the arousing ballad version, âEargasm Her producers, the highly sought after SupaSonics, are currently producing music for various television shows as MTV, BET and Rap Artist Cassidy Summer is thrilled to be sharing her creative talents with the SupaSonics duo as she enthused, âThis isnât just typical R&B or pop. Weâre trying to make good music that spans all musical genres .â

If this werenât enough, Summer is set to become part of a truly momentous collaboration. She is the first artist in the re-launch of Ruben Rodriguezâs groundbreaking Pendulum Records Label. Pendulum was first founded in 1991 by legendary record executive Ruben Rodriguez, who quickly signed and developed platinum-plus debut artists Digable Planets, Lords of The Underground, Boogie Monsters and the R&B group Divine whose song âLatelyâ was a #1 hit on Billboardâs Hot 100. In Pendulumâs first three years alone they not only broke a heavy-hitting line-up of new faces into the market, but also earned a Grammy Award with Digable Planets.
