BIO:

SVEN DECKER
- born 1979 in Merzig/ Saar
- studied jazz-saxophone at the Folkwang Hochschule Essen from 2000 to 2005
- bands:
- 1994-97: member of the Landes Schüler Bigband and the Youth Jazz
Orchestra of the Saarland
- 1996 lesson with Adam Pieronczyk
- 1997: Jazz-Competition Jugend Jazzt in Düsseldorf with Chiaroscuro
Sextet
- 2001: Jazz-Competition of the German Schools of Fine Art:
2. Price with the project: Das blanke Entsetzen
- since 2002: member of Gunter Hampel New Next Generation
- concerts all over Germany with own projects: Flat Panel,
Chiaroscuro, FAT, Das blanke Entsetzen
- concerts with: Christof Thewes, Joker Nies, Jochen Krämer, Stefan Scheib
- in 2004 he was nominated for Folkwang-Award

KATRIN SCHERER
- born 1977 in Illingen/Saar
- studied Jazz Saxofon at the Folkwang Hochschule Essen from 1998-2003
- 2003-2004: studied in New York City at the Queens College with Prof. Antonio
Hart and Prof. Mike Mossman ( saxophone and composition)
- she composes music for bigbands as well as for smaller jazz ensembles
- bands:
- 1997-1998: member of the Jazz Youth Orchestra of the Saarland
- 1998-2000: member of the BuJazzO, the Jazz Youth Orchstra of Germany
- since 2002 member of Christof Thewes´Little Bigband
- 2003: member of swinging Europe, the European Youth Jazz Orchestra
- tours through: Germany, Austria, Croatia, Romania, Turkey, Italy, Great
Britain, Denmark, USA
- current projects:
- spielplatz: won the Folkwang Award in 2002

STEFAN SCHEIB
Stefan Scheib is working as a bass player and composer since 1993.
His current projects are for example the Stefan Scheib Quartet, the InZeit
Ensemble. (contemporary, improvised music)
He worked with: Wollie Kaiser, Rudi Mahall, Frank Wingold, Peter Perfido, Christoph
Thewes, Jörg Fischer, Dirk Rothbrust und Bettina Wauschke.
Another focus of his work is the liquid penguin ensemble with Katharina Scheib:
stylistics: radio drama, radio art, music installing.

JOCHEN KRÄMER
He works as a drummer and percussionist and lives in the Saarlang (south-west
Germany).
He studied music performance at the Akademie für Tonkunst Darmstadt. Today he
works as a freelance composer and musician in the borderland between
improvised and composed chamber music.
He worked with: Mutare Ensemble Frankfurt, Museeumsorchester Frankfurt,
Saarländischen Rundfunk, Staatstheater Saarbrücken, Donlon Dance Company,
Christian Brückner, Jazz and Lyric, Brückner Bukowski, Zabriskie Point.
He is co-founder of the jazz label âzerozeroâ.
