Terese Genecco (pronounced "Teh-REECE Jeh-NECK-oh") is the recent recipient of a 2007 Backstage Bistro Award, San Franciscoâs âEntertainer of the Year,â award, a 2006 MAC Award Nomination, and is a rising musical star, from coast to coast. TIME OUT New York magazine named Geneccoâs 2006 performances to their TOP TEN list, in the esteemed company of jazz singer Paula West, and musical legends, Eartha Kitt and Jack Jones. TIME OUT NY Arts & Entertainment editor, Elisabeth Vincentelli, described Geneccoâs shows as generating âmore wattage â and fun â than an entire evening of Rufus Wainwright at Carnegie Hall!â

Genecco has been performing in âDrunk With Loveâ since the summer of 2005, where it made its world premiere, in a five-week run at San Franciscoâs New Conservatory Theater Center. Terese has since appeared in New York City at Rose Hall at Jazz @ Lincoln Center, The Iridium Jazz Club, The Encore Showroom, and in extended, repeat engagements at Manhattanâs swanky nightclub newcomer, The Metropolitan Room at Gotham.

Four live performances of âDrunk With Loveâ were recorded at The Metropolitan Room, In New York City, in October of 2006. These recordings have now been released on the independent music label, BUG:OUT:MUSIC. Genecco's debut CD can be considered a companion piece to Frances Faye's "Caught In The Act" LP's from 1958 and 1963 on the GNP Crescendo Records Label.
