Details:
Jay Magelssen: Rhythm guitar and lead vocals: born 1955, Kansas City, Missouri. Got my first guitar when I was fourteen years old, taught myself to play. When I was twenty-six I took vocals and guitar lessons at the Conservatory of Music, UMKC. Started writing the lyrics and music for the 10 songs I now have, then started three bands, only to have the bottom fall out each time. Almost gave up, until I ran into drummer Jeff Sigg. We played together for three years and found Todd "showoff" Bannan, and added bass player Jerry Evans, and the rest it history! My influences were: Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, ZZ Top, Black Sabbath, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Rush, Journey, Pink Floyd, Kansas, and Supertramp to name a few. Equipment, Gibson, Fender and Ovation Guitars, Marshall Amps, Ernie Ball and D'Addario strings, Crown amps, JBL MPRO subs and Turbosound speakers, Audio Technica mics, and Digitech effects.
Todd Bannan: Lead Guitar and back up vocals Born 1963 Pennsylvania. I played my first guitar at age seven, got back into it at age seventeen, have been playing on and off ever since. Play along with CD's. I'm self taught. Influences: Steve Vai, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Rush, Journey, Joe Satriani, Malmsteen, Megadeth, and guitar based music. Equipment: Fender and Ibanez guitars, Marshall amps, Digitech effects.
Jeff Sigg: born 1958- Wichita Kansas, Two older brothers gave me an early influence in 50's and 60's rock and roll. Fourteen years old started playing drums when my brother went into the army and gave me his set. Taught myself to play by listening to old records my brother had. I really liked southern rock like Skynard, Marshall Tucker Band, I also liked Zeppelin a lot. Drums and Hardware- Ludwig, Zildijan Cymbals. I played on an old Rogers set and also have an old slingerland set. Sticks- don't matter just give me something and a lot of them Talent- TGBTG
Jerry Evans: Bass Guitar and Backup Vocals Born 1970 Wichita ks. My greatest musical influences are ZZ top, Ronnie James Dio, Metallica, Motley Crue, Pxatt, Twisted Sister, Kansas, and Kings X. Equipment- Fender, Digitech, SWR. I have always had a desire to be in a band just never had the opportunity. About five months ago I started jamming with three friends from work and the more we played the better we seemed to sound and that brings us to where we are now getting ready to go into the studio to cut are first album hopefully it will be done by years end. I reside in Wellington Kansas with my wife and four kids. WHIPLASH IS COMING TO YOUR TOWN AND WE ARE GOING TO BE IN AND OUT IN A DAY SO YOU BETTER NOT BLINK. SEE YA. IâM OUT. BASS IN YOUR FACE BRING THE NOISE.
