Music from all over the continent is represented, including Venezuelan waltzes by Antonio Lauro, tangos by Astor Piazzola, and Andean folk dances by Jorge Cardoso. This CD explores the intricate rhythms and harmonies of Latin America and gives you an insight into their vibrant musical culture!


Hideki Yamaya is a guitarist and lutenist who has been active as a performer and teacher in the West Coast for over 12 years. He currently resides in Bend, Oregon, and is actively performing in Oregon and California. He has a B.A. in Music and an M.A. in Ethnomusicology from University of California, Santa Cruz, and an M.F.A. from University of California, Irvine, in Guitar and Lute Performance. He is an internationally acclaimed musician and has performed in Canada, Japan, Great Britain, and Italy.
Hideki has performed Latin American music extensively, both in professional performing groups and as a soloist.
