Austin John is a Toronto-based band made up of some of the cityâs busiest new generation of jazz, pop, rock and session musicians. They distill a huge range of influences into music that is melodic and highly listenable, but full of subtle complexity.
Their energetic debut EP showcases the songwriting talents of singer/guitarist Todd Elsliger. Toddâs focus on originality has produced music that is quite different from anything you can hear on the radio today: intelligent, biting lyrics to songs with varied sounds and structures, and accomplished musicianship.
This bandâs music is highly personal, and they hope you enjoy it.
