Chase Livingston is a Junior at Punahou school in Honolulu, Hawaii. He has been playing the piano since the age of five, and singing along since age ten. Chase studied piano in the classical style for the first five years, but he was never content to play the pieces as they were written. At about age 10, Chase found a piano teacher, Doug Robertson, who was happy to teach him rock and roll along with Beethoven. For the next seven years, Chase played and sang his way through decades of classic rock and roll. Several years ago, Chase began writing his own songs. Although most of his earliest efforts at songwriting were discarded as his skills evolved and matured, he has just produced a CD entitled âRough Cuts,â with ten of his original songs.
