Founded in 2001, after various changes the band reached the current lineup: GIUSEPPE "Mosés" SIRIANNI (Voice & Lyrics), RUBENS "Rebus" PIACENTE (Guitar & Effects), DANILO "Das" SIRIANNI (Bass & Chorus), ANTONIO "Aktros" PAOLA (Drums & Synth).
They're the winners of the "Rock Targato Italia 2005 - Calabria" contest. With clear metal influences, the band (self-proclaimed "nu-rock") produces compelling grooves thanks to an outrageously powerful rhythmic base (bass + drums), an enraged voice and striking lyrics. The sharp and heavy guitar creates extremely aggressive riffs. The band is currently promoting their first, entirely auto produced eponymous album, called "CRANIMO".
The album (15 tracks) has an easily noticeable, incredibly high sound quality, which doesn't however compromise the singer's voice, quite straightforward. The CRANIMO sound is a reminiscence of several international alternative metal bands, and is the result of the 4 musicians' personal life experiences. Seeing the band live will make you bang your head from beginning to end! They hope Italy will modernize in terms of musical choices (and way of thinking as well) reaching the same level as countries such as the US and the UK. Why listen to foreign metal, crossover, and rock bands? Aren't there any good Italian bands? Of course there are, but you have to dig deep down into the Italian underground scene to listen to something different, departing from despicable, commercial Italian music.
The spirit and soul are from Calabria, too bad that common people's ignorance, self-proclaimed emulators, and industry operators (humanoids not worth of any trust) prevent the growth and spreading of bands with a "strong personality". People will probably go on listening to foreign bands, thinking that Italian bands will never be good enough. The hell with them! "Close the gate and climb if you wanna get in..."
