Jon Ray Leslie is a singer/songwriter from Los Angeles whose moody, intimate, and melodic songs make you inhabit his music rather than just listen. Jon started writing original pop rock songs at 13. A multi-instrumentalist he draws upon his many influences ranging from softer rock ballads, alternative, to pop rock. Jonâs songs infect you with identifying to the music. Jon was influenced by his father and mother who were also entertainers. When Jon was 12, famous comedian Lenny Bruceâs mother, gave him a handful of quarters to start saving for a guitar. He remembers her saying âget that guitar and never let upâ ,â be made of steelâ. Jonâs song âSteelâ featured on the Emmy award winning show âJoan of Arcadiaâ is a tribute to his childhood influences and his passion for music.

After hearing Jonâs song âSomedaysâ, music supervisors began using Jonâs songs regularly for the show âPassionsâ. Jonâs music has also been featured on MTVâs âThe Real Worldâ.


Currently, Jon is writing, producing and recording music in the studio. More of his music is due for release in late 2007.
