The songs on this CD are a look into ourselves: as individuals, as a people, and as part of something larger than what we can imagine. Through them, it is my aim to express the many aspects of our inner journey: moments of realization leading to life-changing insights; conversations we have with ourselves and our loved ones; overcoming loss; as well as our surrender to connection. But none of this awareness is possible without the conscious decision to remove our outer layers, our own bark, to allow for the next stage of growth, and in turn revealing our own true nature. Through a true and honest understanding of our own experience, we can learn to accept the great gift that is life. And that often, what we think we need, is actually all around us, and ultimately, right there within.
