Chicoâs solid bass lines and Dan Taylorâs powerful drum beats complete the atmospheric sonic landscape. At times, the resulting sound recalls early Dinosaur Jr and Swervedriver, but itâs also much more than that. The complex and dynamic songs sound like they were carefully crafted with painstaking care, like a sculptor shaping an image out of clay. They employ richly textured verses which move organically into gripping choruses that are both challenging and accessible.
