Details:
I was born in Newark, New Jersey on November 2, raised by my mother in Wisconsin, this is where it all took place. As early as the age of seven, I began to sing and dance in front of my family. They say as a child I was always a force to be reckoned with.
As long as I can remember, music was always in our home. My mother played all types of music salsa, merengue, cumbias, mariachis, plena, bomba, ranchera, even R&B. Since there was lots of music, there was lots of dancing. Early in my teen years I developed a habit of keeping a journal, and at times writing poetry. Little did I know that this would be a big part of the song writing I do today.
My entire time in elementary school I was in the school choir, this is where I learned to play my first instrument, the xylophone. I continued singing in middle school, but added acting into my schedule. Here I participated in plays. My sisters and I always choreographed dance routines and competed in dance competitions. While in middle school I decide to try a new instrument, the French horn. I didnât continue that journey for long. In high school I took Baila and modern dance. I performed with the church the rest of my teenage years. I traveled quit a bit with the church, singing on the radio and live performances.
As an adult I took personal vocal lessons at The Conservatory of Music, in Milwaukee. There I continued to develop my vocal skills. I sang with local bands for a short time and then wandered off to start my career as a soloist.
I have had the pleasure of working with Robin Pluer, Adikola, Wichi Camacho, Anthony Cruz, Papo Rios, Ceferino Caban, Nino Segarra, Luis Gonzalez, to name a few.
My passion in life is to share with the world my life experiences through song. I hope everyone enjoys it, because I feel privileged to share it with the world.
