Details:
Norwichâs atmospheric rock trio .Subâname inspired by Bowieâs song Subterraneans off his stunning LOW albumâfeatures Adam Chamberlain (Guitar/Piano/Vocals), Matt Osborne (Drums/Production) and Chris Bright (Bass/Sampler).

Formed by childhood friends Chamberlain and Osborne in 1996, .Sub began their existence as a two-man outfit playing guitar-based music, but in 2004 Chris Bright joined the group and brought his electronica flavour into the mix. Gradually the band developed a darker, more dramatic sound that straddles a wide range of genres and techniques. This characteristically intense sound quickly earned them a reputation as one of the most innovative and unique alternative rock acts in all of Norwich, with many new bands citing .Sub as their musical influence.

In 2004, the band played their first public performance at Norwichâs âFerry Boatâ and brought in the largest crowd the venue had ever seen. Fuelled by all the positive feedback the band was earning, in 2005 the trio composed their first professional recording titled The Mill Sessions. The four-track collection not only gained interest from major labels, but also earned them a spot on Best of wombatwombatâa compilation album (produced by Nrone records) where local promoters âwombatwombatâ handpicked the threesome from over 100 other possible bands.

A year and three attempts later, Chamberlain was finally happy with the sound and the band released their first E.P., Gotterdamerung. Translated as âtwilight of the gods,â the name was pulled from Albert Speersâ memoir, âInside the Third Reich.â The album received praise from fans and critics alike, including NME, Concrete and GodisintheTV. Tracks have been featured on BBC Radio Norfolk, Future Radio and German Public Radio Norddeutscher Rundfunk.

The band was recently voted as one of the best bands to play at Norwichâs award-winning âB2â and earned them a spot on a second Nrone records-produced compilation album, set to come out later this year.

.Sub are currently in the studio working on their second E.P.
