Details:
Hi. I am Cari Eden. I live in Florida where I write and record in my own studio. I have been writing and performing on and off for around 20 years. I have a feminine voice and I play guitar so I must be a folk singer right? Wrong. I like beautiful melodies, smart-ass lyrics and inspirational metaphors, weird trance music, classical rock and theatrics. I hate clichés and repetitiveness. So much for the catchy hook. I also fancy sweet neat little love songs and smoky night club piano jazz. I am likely to write almost any of these types of music. I can tell you that the music I have released is guitar rock, slow and fast, simple and sophisticated, hooky and ethereal and very much me. It's head bangable and yet cruising worthy as well.

Like most artists/musicians I have little interest in the fame but don't object to the fortune if a major record label should hand me that sweet deal. Until then, I am content to carry on writing, recording and uploading onto the digital stores for the exposure and the occasional sale at my own leisure and with complete creative control. I have licensed a song to Disney and to an independent film done by students at Arizona State. The film went to the festivals but I don't think I will be collecting royalties on that one. I have been scammed on by every lowlife in the business and told by every wannabe musician and groupie at one time or another that they could get me a deal or that they are best friends with (being in the south it is usually) Lynyrd Skynyrd or Fred Durst. I've given my CD to Fred Durst, Puddle of Mudd drummer Greg Upchurch, music lawyers, talent agents and "producers" from "recording companies". But I have yet to come across anyone in the business who has actually listened to my CD. People are too busy convincing me how important they are. However, for those of you who have actually listened to and purchased my music in the US, Netherlands, Australia, Israel, Russia and Canada, those who have given me constructive criticism on the productions (vs. rewriting my lyrics) and who have told me that my music has inspired them, I thank you. Because that is what it is really about.
