Billy Mello was a virtuoso of classical music on the accordian at age 13. Since his early days on the North Shore of Oahu , ,playing music and surfing have sustained Bill through numerous bands and music styles.

This first cd Surf Jones encompasses rock, blues, pop, R&B, reggae and surf instrumental.All the lyrics and music are composed by Bill and published by Shaloha Music-SESAC and Maple Syrup Records.

Bill plays the guitar and vocals, Eddie Sitzler plays drums and percussions ,Mike Berkemyer Bass, and Kelly Johnson sings vocals.Henry Adam Curtis plays the keyboards , Jimmy-Z the saxophone, Casey Havens the Bass Guitar and Brent Eynon backround vocals.Jim Irons(uncle to World class surf champions Andy and Bruce Irons) created the cover art.

Bill plays guitar,bass,drums,keybords and sings a variety of styles that continue to rock the north shore of Kauai, while also occasionally playing in his country band West of the Best and the Take-offs. His Surf Jones band is the base for a nine peice ensemble that gets together for events and conventions on Kauai.
