Improvisational rockjazz guitar that talks to you like an old friend, telling how cool you are.

ROCK: Instrumental Rock, JAZZ: Jazz Fusion
Details:
It's improvisational rockjazz guitar that makes you feel better the more you think about it.
You want music that you can listen to and feel better. Feel better about what? About anything.
...that you'll feel good, or at least better, while you're listening to it.
You need music that is there and is honest; that speaks instead of recites.
This CD is really good for listening to and letting your mind drift to other things, then drift back to the music, then to other things...
The unique style of Brianâs playing is characterized by tone-and-time-modulation which in its character is reminiscent of the human voice. The phrasing and musical inflection used by Brian during improvisation is in many ways similar to that used by human beings during
spontaneous speech.
While listening to Brianâs music one gets an impression of floating away, and the lack of lyrical content only supports this feeling as the
music is not ridden by human chatter, while still having the familiar qualities of the human voice delivered by the guitar solos..
The improvisational nature of the music keeps the listener constantly wondering about what is coming next, rather than bored by repetitive patterns that are so prevalent in the mainstream music.
In conclusion, it is a very fresh way of performing and songwriting, and the compositions have an organic character as they are literally being âgrownâ on the spot by the artist.
Brian began playing guitar in grade school, taught by his cousin, a jazz guitarist, working out complicated note-for-note songs from the best jazz artists of the day and from Chet Atkins with his involved finger-style guitar. Brian began playing professionally his first year in high school and continued the next few years playing Rhythm & Blues such as the Temptations and James Brown and also current top 40 rock. This progressed to playing full-time as a living as he moved on to playing hard rock including Hendrix, Clapton, Page and others and studying very hard what it was that made a great guitarist great.
After a few years he realized that his skill and interest lay in improvising- actually making up everything that he played, at the moment he played it. Ever since then, he has done basically nothing but the improvisation. Brian believes that improvisation best expresses the honesty and 'aliveness' that he wants. As he sees it, it is true in music as well as in conversation, that what you say without giving it a lot of time to develop how you say it, is probably a truer representation of how you feel, than are the situations where you have plenty of time to plan and perhaps color, how you are going to say, or present, something.
My genre is rhythmic rock or rockjazz(which it really is-it is not jazz, it is rockjazz). My music sounds like normal music, but has a feeling like someone talking. Conversation. It is like being talked to. Characteristics are honesty and patience, relaxedness, positiveness.
A new take on music. And it really is.
