This is definitely a âHomegrown, No special effectsâ album for people who want to hear something, a little different, somewhat new, and/or thatâs reminiscent of music already admired by many. In this album youâll hear, Earth, Wind, & Fire, Cameo, Prince, Jesse Johnson, Babyface, Sly Stone, Jimi Hendrix, Funk, Soul, Gospel and many other artist & styles Iâve been strongly influenced by over the years.

Thatâs the reason the title âMemoirs Of DâMenace StahrTM was chosen. Cuz like a book of memoirs there are accounts of personal (and musical) experiences of the author. The name âDâMenace StahrâTM, although I didnât realize it at 1st, was truly inspired by my grandmother who once predicted years ago that I would become some type of preacher or speaker. The name had gone through some changes being that it was just a concept . But once I figured it out , it struck me what my grandmother predicted.

This is a conversation with those, especially women, who are fed up with the monotony. At times, you get tired of riding the same ride, taking the same route, seeing the same people, saying the same thing, hearing the same thing, being under appreciated, earning as much respect as possible and finding out you STILL havenât earned enough. Youâre fed up with trying to get that one m#$#n person to JUST ONCE, see it your way when all they have to say is, âIâm feelin yaâ. This is what I define as âLifeâs Holidayâ and much props and respect to Maurice White and Earth Wind & Fire for the inspiration.

I didnât want to do a predictable album. Call myself bringing something back to the table for those whoâve been missing that something in their music,â¦HEART. A lot of heart, fun, and love went into this project and I hope I can move a few of ya with my music. Thanks for checking it out.
