The Last Word is Jason Waters (Vocals/Keyboards), Matt Walsh (Guitars/Bass), Steve McGrath (Bass/Guitar), and Rich Quatrano (Drums/Percussion). Formed in the closing months of 2004, the band brings together elements of classic and contemporary rock......Coldplay, Muse, U2, Franz Ferdinand, Led Zeppelin....they're all in there, but The Last Word is by no means a clone band. Originality - that's what sets The Last Word apart from the pack. Providing passionate and beautiful vocals with the vibrant sounds of guitar and warm feeling of the bass. As all of this is happening, the rhythmic feel of the drums will keep your foot tapping and hands clapping. Their originals are melodic but driving, subtle but rocking.
Our main objective is to play inspiring music that will evoke emotion with each individual who hears us through lyrics and sounds. Our immense passion has driven us to play some amazing gigs.
Our previous performances have ranged from The Knitting Factory, The Underscore, Don Hills, Nikki and Sam's, Coda, Warsaw, CBGB's, SUNY Purchase College, Marymount Manhattan College and we headlined one of the biggest gigs in Queens, Dozopalooza, just to name a few. We will soon to be playing at Amherst College in April!
