Born in Detroit on September 29th, Verdell "Cash" McCall. In the early 60's became a member of the junior choir at New Bethel. In the early 70's he had his 1st breakthrough with his music career with Dick Scotts Recordings. He also worked with the Enchantments and the Jones Girls. Cash McCall became a Contour in the early 70's. Cash McCall's career took off in the late 70's as a Baritone singer with the Detroit Emeralds of Westbound Recording Co. In 1984, Cash McCall signed with Chocker Campbell, president of Campo Records. He released his first solo album "Detroit Hands You The Blues". Cash McCall has also performed at some of the Class-A nightclubs at that time such as Dummy-Georges, BenHi-Chaparral, and the Twenty-Grand. Cash has done some theatrical work with Kim Weston of Motown Records. Cash enjoys working with children and fishing during the summertime. He performes at Hart Plaza in Downtown Detroit. Cash McCall has his own band called, "Cash McCall and the cash money band". Presently he is with Snowball Records, where he released "Blues In The Sunset" and single"All The Way Lover". His new release is entitled "The Best Of Cash McCall". Cash McCall is a performer who knows and understands the core elements of what a show must be to be classified as entertainment.
