Celtic Cross has been a local favourite for many in the Windsor, Ontario - Detroit, Michigan for years. Vocal harmonies and high energy instrumentals have helped them stand out. Influenced heavily by traditional Irish music, all three members each add their own sonic imprint with other influences ranging from traditional music from east-coast Canada, Scotland and Australia to modern music from bands like The Pogues, Great Big Sea, Bob Dylan and more. Celtic Cross has been performing in one form or another in the Windsor/Detroit area for over 15 years. The current lineup has been together since 2000 and consists of founding member Mark Crampsie on cittern, fiddler Frank Edgley Jr., and Brian VanderPryt on guitar. In 2003 the band released their debut CD "The Long Road" (an appropiate title considering how long the band has been together!). They are currently in the process choosing material to be recorded for the next album. In addition to the band, all three members can be seen in other lineups that include solo shows (for Mark and Brian) as well as various combinations of duos. Still, nothing beats the feeling or sound when the entire band takes the stage!
