Hot!, Hot!, Hot! This is the way I would describe the new âMusic For All Occasionsâ CD by Claud Rivers. The CD should be a part of every radio stationâs collection. It is also one that any serious and creditable disc jockey (D. J.) or air-personality should want to have as a personal resource. Hereâs why...The CD contains tracks for almost every occasion: wedding anniversaries, promotions, line dancing (electric slide, Chinese checkers, stepping etc.), birthdays and three special tracks. The first special track is the New Yearâs Eve arrangement of âAuld Lang Syneâ (track #8). It is special because it is an updated, danceable rendition of the old standard. This will allow for everyone, even those without dates to bring in the New Year along with the couples. Couples may kiss during the short singing section while others start the line dance on the dance floor. The nice dance groove with the silky smooth soprano sax solo could easily make this the new standard at New Yearâs Eve celebrations. The second special track is the smooth jazz track âWho Did Itâ (track #9). Itâs great to just sit back and listen to, play while cruising in your car or dance the old school swing to. The third and last special track is âA Prayer of Thanks/Thank You Father (track #10). It is a re-mix of a song from Praise Master Câs
gospel CD entitled âI Love To Praise The Lordâ and is a special prayer with music for any gathering (reunions, Thanksgiving, Easter, etc). This CD has something for everyone and I hear a hit song or two on this CD. Additionally other unique arrangements of traditional songs will cause you to want this CD in your personal collection. Check out the funky blues version of âFor Heâs A Jolly Good Fellowâ (track #5) which is followed on track #6 with a version for a âJolly Good Female.â Imagine someone getting a promotion and while everyone is singing that person gets a special/private dance done by a professional dancer. No office/promotion party should be held without playing several selections from this CD either dance songs or songs for the occasion. The Anniversary Song (track #3) might become a standard for anniversary celebrations. Claud uses the traditional melody of Auld Lang Syne with new words that are appropriate and sincere. Also note this arrangement is different from that of the âAuld Lang Syneâ track which is number eight (8). Then thereâs âHappy, Happy Birthdayâ(track #4) and âWe Wish You A Merry Christmasâ (track#7) that add a classical/pop sound to the CD. Everyone will welcome a new, simple birthday song to sing to replace the overworked Happy Birthday song. âWe Wish You A Merry Christmasâ (track#7) is a great song for radio stations and DJs to dedicate to their listeners during the season. It is a new fresh, waltz tempo arrangement that can easily be transitioned into and out of for stations that play any style of music.
Donât be caught unprepared. Music fans/dancers will love the hot dance tracks #1 & 2. Track #1 is âHey Pretty Girlâ-A song with a universal message from guys to girls....Youâre a pretty girl with everything I am looking for and I want to be your man. Track #2 is âYou Met Your Matchâ - A song where guys tell attractive woman...I am just as desirable as you so chill out and letâs get together. Yes Rap/Hip Hop fans Track #2 âYou Met Your Match" is a danceable Rap Style Song.
