After personal tragedies encountered by this artist since her first album (on LP and cassette) "Company Wife" from mid 1980... the death of her musical partner of fifteen years, and the injury that caused the loss of her voice for a year, Hauntress, Denise Jordan Finley, is back in full form... Her voice, recovered now, with a well earned edge to it, shows expression that can only come from a full life's experiences and trials...Perhaps due to a period of compensation for the vocal injury, her guitar work emerges as uncommonly intricate and harmonically powerful.

This collection, produced by Daniel Pagdon, including two award-winning songs, features examples of Denise's best writing, and certainly the most haunting pieces in her repertoire. Accompanied by Pagdon on Contra Bass Guitar, with brilliantly arranged Horn and Flute accents by Matt Finley, this volume of songs also features the Voice of veteran back-up singer Penny Nichols, and the Piano of Grammy Award winner Clifford Carter, with a little Octave Mandolin and Lead Guitar thrown in by star-making engineer, Mark Dann.
