The Fashion Smoothiesâ FEEL FRESH! album is a crossbreed of genres. Released in 2002 the opening song âComplicatedâ is a catchy acoustic pop song borrowing its style from the likes of REM and early 60âs pop rock. There is the funk-ska feel to âFat Jack,â a song about a man whose eating habits are more important than his contribution to life. The album then leans into even more mellow tunes such as âEverything at Onceâ and âGlad You Saw Me.â Most of the album is centered on love and relationships â the staple to any pop song. You feel fresh when you hear the album because there is something for everyone and everyone for something. The Fashion Smoothies disbanded in 2004 and have carried on in other bands such as Mafia Track Suit, The Worx, and The Pop Rivets(US).
