Chris Coolidge of Johnny Socko releases solo debut Center of the Universe

Indianapolis, IN - It's the new school of Pop/Rock. Chris Coolidge has a history of writing undeniably catchy songs. We've found large traces of arena rock in his DNA, and his confession is now on record. The longtime singer, guitarist, and songwriter of Midwest legends Johnny Socko comes clean with his beautifully rock solid debut solo album, Center of the Universe.

Chris Coolidge spent the last several years touring the nation with Johnny Socko, honing his performing and writing skills in over a thousand shows and four records. Chris' songs have graced MTV reality shows and Adam Sandler's Eight Crazy Nights, charted on CMJ, XM Radio, and Commercial Specialty radio, and appear on over 12,000 Socko discs sold.

Recorded with first-rate Socko rhythm section of Matt Wilson (bass) and Dylan Wissing (drums), along with guitar virtuoso Brett Cantrell, Center of the Universe features pop/rock songwriting with powerhouse musicianship. The album is self-produced by Coolidge, with the track "There She Was" mixed by industry heavyweight Ken Lewis (Beastie Boys, Kanye West, Usher, David Byrne).

The Indianapolis Star's David Lindquist writes, "Chris (Coolidge) emerges as a personable, pop-minded songwriter/vocalist...a deft master of agreeable melodies and just-right storytelling." Reviewing a show, Troy Michael of Champaign's Commercial News Night Life added, "Coolidge (and band-mates) showed a strong stage presence as they launched their fiery and upbeat songs to admirers in flawless manner." This powerful outfit has been doing just that for years. Now, throw your fist in the air. Release that pinky and index finger and joyfully shout, "Oh yeah! It's fun to rock again!"
