This is the debut album from U.K singer songwriter John Jackson. This album is only now in 2007 being released digitally after the phenomenal sales of his second album " Bad things happen all the time".

"Strange Attractors" is the wonderful debut album from solo artist " John Jackson". This album is beautiful and starts off with the touching and organic 60-esq acoustic ballad " A Spiral Staircase". Dreamy, meloncholy, touching and emotional this album features the Matchbox Radio 24 Number 1 hit " The Cruel Croupier" with it's sleek trip hop beats and jazzy feel. "Have we had enough, are we mad enough" asks John on " Dangerous to know" where John demonstrates his smooth and haunting vocals. From acoustic guitars, electro beats and dreamy falsetto to alt.country ballads this album has it all. There is a slightly Belle and Sebastian/Paddy Mc'aloon quality to John's vocals on tracks like " Strange Attractors" and this is mixed with experimental sounds and loops to create a classic album worth buying. Also featuring the wonderful Colourfield/Aztec Camera-esq acoustic gem " Heat With Temperature" and the Prefab Sprout-esq " Everything under Control". Excellent. A modern album with a classic feel.
